From the North: Heading south form San Francisco, San Juan Bautista is about 90 miles south of the San Francisco International Airport, and 31 miles south of the Highway 101 and Highway 85 interchange in south San Jose. Follow Highway 101 south about 10miles beyond Gilroy to the San Juan Bautista exit for Highway 156 East. Take Exit 345 on Highway 156 East and proceed 3.0 miles to the first stoplight. Turn left on The Alameda at the light. The Alameda becomes 3rd Street in the downtown area.

 

From the South: From Salinas on Highway 101, drive 16 miles to the San Juan Bautista exit (exit 345) for Highway 156 East. Follow Highway 156 east for 3 miles to the first stop light. Turn left at the light onto the Alameda. The Alameda becomes 3rd Street in downtown San Juan Bautista. 


From the East: Traveling along Interstate 5, take Highway 152 west from Los Banos at Exit 403. In 35 miles, Highway 152 intersects Highway 156 in Hollister. Continue west on Highway 156 for 14 miles to the stoplight at The Alameda. Turn right, The Alameda becomes 3rd Street in downtown San Juan Bautista.


From the West: From Santa Cruz, follow Highway 1 South for 16 miles to Watsonville. Take exit 425 for California 129/Riverside Drive. Follow Highway 129 east trough Watsonville and through the Pajaro River Canyon. Cross Highway 101 and continue east on Chittenden Road (San Juan Highway) past Anzar High School. Follow the road for 2.5 miles where the road becomes 1st Street. Turn right on Monterey Street. Continue 2 blocks and turn left on 3rd Street to enter downtown San Juan Bautista.
