Bancroft’s Works on display and viewable
with assistance. We also offer photo copy and fax sending /
receiving services. The Woman's Library Auxiliary, created
in 1896, meets the 4th Wednesday of each month to purchase
the new books. We have books for sale and accept donations of
books, for a tax deductible donation receipt. For information about

This used to be Carl Luck's filling station, long out of use and donated to the city of San Juan Bautista by his widow. The San Juan Bautista Historical Society was given permission to use this building for their museum in 1999. Volunteers have repaired it inside and out. Students from California State University at Monterey Bay have been involved in cataloging and digitizing museum materials. Send email

The San Juan Bautista Fire Department is a full-service Emergency Services Organization that provides fire suppression, emergency medical services (basic life support), fire prevention public education, and rescue and extrication services to an area encompassing approximately 70 square miles. The San Juan Bautista Volunteer Fire Department was formed in 1868 to help protect the citizens from damaging and deadly fire. Just as the times have changed, so has our mission. Today, we provide the community with a full range of quality emergency services. Your fire department is the community's first line of protection during times of emergency crisis.
