Living History Days

 

11am to 4pm, San Juan Bautista State Historic Park. Step back to the early days of San Juan. Meet mountain men, Civil War soldiers, Victorian ladies, and more. Enjoy craft and cooking demonstrations. Enjoy an old-fashioned soda in the historic Plaza Hotel Saloon. See historic horse-drawn vehicles inside the Plaza Stables and Victorian furnishings in the Plaza Hotel and Zanetta family home.

The 20th Annual Aromas-San Juan Bautista Community Schools

Foundation Fundraiser! 

 

May 6 ~ Sunday, our 20th Anniversary! Aromas-San Juan Bautista Community Schools Foundation is holding its 20th annual Fundraising dinner and auction on Saturday, May 6th at the Aromas Grange Hall. The evening begins at 6pm with a social hour. A delicious barbeque tri-tip and chicken dinner is followed by a lively auction featuring local wine, art, collectibles, and student art. The Foundation supports arts in the schools, provides assistance to educational programs through mini-grants, and provides annual scholarships and awards to district graduates. 

 

Tickets cost $50 per person, tables are $325 and can be purchased through the school district office. Please order tickets by April 15th. Contact a Foundation Board Member to buy tickets or make a donation. Email Marilyn Breiling or call (831) 419-7230.

33rd Annual California Indian Market & Peace Pow Wow

 


10am - 7pm, The Alameda Street at Highway 156 East. Celebrating Cinco de Mayo & World Cultures. Admission is a $1.00 donation benefiting public education, a 501(c)3, promoting Peace Through The Arts. This event features: A PEACE DANCE HONORING VETERANS, NATIVE AMERICAN, WESTERN, WILDLIFE ARTS, CRAFTS VENDORS, DANCERS, DRUMS, & FOOD! One Earth, One People, Peace Vision and the San Juan Intertribal Council is billed as a "Living prayer for world peace".
