11am to 4pm, San Juan Bautista State Historic Park. Step back to the early days of San Juan. Meet mountain men, Civil War soldiers, Victorian ladies, and more. Enjoy craft and cooking demonstrations. Enjoy an old-fashioned soda in the historic Plaza Hotel Saloon. See historic horse-drawn vehicles inside the Plaza Stables and Victorian furnishings in the Plaza Hotel and Zanetta family home.

Studios
Come to the Open Studios Kick Off Party from 6-8 pm on
Friday April 7th at ARTspace at 240 Fifth
St. in Hollister for a sneak peak of artwork from 28 artists on
this year’s Open Studios Art Tour! The Kick-Off Party is an
opportunity for the community to view the artwork, enjoy food and
drinks and celebrate this year’s group of talented, dynamic
artists. This event is free and open to the public.
ABOUT OPEN STUDIOS
Local residents, students and
visitors are invited to participate in a self-guided tour of
artists’ studios throughout San Benito County during the San Benito
County Arts Council’s annual Open Studios Art
Tour on Saturday & Sunday, April
22nd- 23rdfrom 10
am- 4 pm. This year’s tour features 28 local artists and
artisans and showcases works in painting, photography, pottery
& ceramics, stained-glass, jewelry and more! Open Studios
is a great way for locals and out of town visitors to meet the
artists, view and purchase original works of art, learn more about
the processes of art-making and enjoy a scenic tour throughout San
Benito County.

Spring Easter Parade
The San Juan Committee is hosting this years Easter
Parade.
Starting at 1:00pm on Saturday, join us for some serious
cuteness!
April 30 ~ Sunday
Fremont Peak Day
11:30am to 3:00pm, Fremont Peak. This annual event is
an old fashioned picnic sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars
and the Native Daughters of the Golden West. The event commemorates
Captain John C. Fremont and his expedition's U.S. flag raising in
1846 in defiance of the Mexican government. Bring
the family and enjoy a picnic lunch and childrens
games.
