Bi-Annual Cactus & Succulent Show


9am to 5pm on Saturday and 9am to 4pm on Sunday, San Juan Bautista Community Hall, 10 San Jose St., Free Admission.  The show provides a great opportunity to get acquainted with the wonderful world of drought resistant succulent plants. Whether you have questions or are looking to buy unique cactus and succulents, this event has something for everyone. The show is sponsored by the Cactus & Succulent Society of the Monterey Bay Area and takes place again in September. Living History Days

 

October 7, 11am to 4pm, SJB State Historic Park. Step back to the early days of San Juan. Meet mountain men, Civil War soldiers, Victorian ladies, and more. Enjoy craft and cooking demonstrations. Enjoy an old-fashioned soda in the historic Plaza Hotel Saloon. See historic horse-drawn vehicles inside the Plaza Stables and Victorian furnishings in the Plaza Hotel and Zanetta family home.

National Make a Difference Day
 

National Make a Difference Day will be celebrated throughout our nation on Saturday, October 22nd, with communities planting trees, conducting coat drives, fundraising for animal shelters and giving their communities a face lift.  In San Juan Bautista the members of the City Strategic Plan Committee are coordinating a community clean-up event. Make A Difference Day is one of the largest national days of community service. Celebrated on the fourth Saturday of October, thousands of volunteers unite in a common mission to improve the lives of others. 
 

Volunteers are needed to help with litter removal, cleaning, and landscaping at these San Juan Bautista locations:


*Library & Luck Park* Washington St. Bridge

*Community Center*Downtown 

*City Hall & Fire Station*Abbe Baseball Park

10th Annual San Juan Bautista Ghost Walk!

 

This Event will sell out! THE SPIRITS ARE ALAWYS READY & WAITING!

New spirits and locations have arisen... Tours leave at 6:30pm, 7pm, 7:30pm, 8pm & 8:30pm. Take a guided walking tour of several local sites with ghost sightings and paranormal activities! Cost is $35 which includes a gift bag & beverages. Tour starts and ends downtown at Union Bank on the corner of Third and Mariposa Streets. Hosted by the San Juan Bautista Rotary Club to benefit the community.
